
Susmitha Vaka, MD joins the Oncology department at Tacoma Medical Center

We are pleased to announce that Susmitha Vaka, MD has joined the Oncology department at Tacoma Medical Center. Dr. Vaka comes to us from completing a Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology.
Dr. Vaka earned her MD from Guntur Medical College in Guntur, India. She then went on to the University of Kansas Medical School in Kansas City, KS where she completed her Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine. She also completed both a Fellowship in Breast Oncology and a Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. Vaka is board certified in Internal Medicine.

My goal as a physician is to provide advanced care for my patients. I believe that it is essential to educate my patients and involve them in developing a treatment plan with their goals and values in mind.
