Tim Dewhurst, MD joins the Cardiology Department at Capitol Hill Medical Center

We are pleased to announce that Tim Dewhurst, MD has joined the Cardiology department at Capitol Hill Medical Center. Dr. Dewhurst has worked at the Polyclinic for the last 17 years. His clinical interests include heart failure and coronary disease.

Dr. Dewhurst earned his MD from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta. He then completed his Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals in Atlanta, GA. His Cardiovascular Diseases/Interventional Cardiology Fellowship was completed at the University of Washington. Dr. Dewhurst is board certified in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Diseases and Internal Medicine.

Philosophy of care
I believe in using evidence based strategies to treat and prevent disease, while using all available treatments to maximize a patient's quality of life. Each patient I see is an individual and I work with the patient and their family to understand their values and priorities to help guide their care.

Coronary disease prevention and treatment, heart failure, general cardiology, and leveraging EHRs to improve the care of a population.
