All-Alliance Meeting Coming December 6: "Prevention, What Works?"

The next All-Alliance meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, December 6, at the One Union Square Boardroom from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Doors open for networking at 7:30 a.m., and the program will begin promptly at 8 a.m.  At this meeting, we'll focus on some recent evidence in prevention and helping the public understand what works.

Our topics are:

• The news-making recommendations by the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force regarding prostate screening and mammography
• The importance of oral health to general health
• The challenge of public understanding about prevention recommendations, with vaccine adherence as an example

Our panelists are:

• Dr. David Grossman, Medical Director, Group Health Cooperative; and Member, U.S. Preventive Services Task Force
• Dr. Ronald Inge, Dental Director, Washington Dental Service
• Melissa Simpson, Senior Vice President, GMMB
