Group Health's Commercial Plan Is Ranked No. 56 Nationwide
September 19, 2011
Group Health Cooperative's commercial health plan has been ranked No. 56 in the National Committee for Quality Assurance's (NCQA) Health Insurance Plan Rankings for 2011-2012-Private.
The rankings — which compare 483 private plans nationwide — include quality measures for patient care, customer satisfaction, and accreditation.
"Our quality measures have surged upward over the last five years," says President and Chief Medical Executive Michael Soman, "starting when our commercial plans were ranked 113. Every step we gain — large or small — translates to real health outcomes for real people in our care."
NCQA's ranking affirms the outstanding results we produce with our patient-centered health promotion, disease prevention, care, and treatment approaches.
NCQA is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to improving health care quality. NCQA accredits and certifies a wide range of health care organizations. It also recognizes clinicians and practices in key areas of performance.
